Pork Chop Rub

I was busy in the kitchen ALL weekend. I've kind of become a survivalist and have been wanting to learn to can food, so that's what I was doing. My peeps out in Chi-town have some jars of pickled garlic waiting for them when they come home, btw.

Anyway, I went to my mom's house and my bro defrosted some pork chops. Since my dad (the Master Chef) wasn't around, I took the opportunity to make a rub for those babies and grilled them before he even noticed.

Need:

1/2 C brown sugar
some garlic powder
some onion powder
some paprika
some cumin
some cayenne
some white pepper
s+p
1 tbsp of soy sauce (here's the asian)

Put it all in a bowl and mix with your fingers. Then RUB the mixture on the pork chops. Seriously, massage it in so that it gets all up in the meat. Then grill.

The Master Chef declared that they were the best pork chops that he's had in a LONG time AND that they were super juicy, where did I get those chops from??? He was surprised to find that they were from his own freezer. My mom and bro agreed that they were delish. However, the Master Chef does not hand out praise very often about food (because he cooks the best in the house) so I was delighted to hear it.

  1. Careful with your canning, broheim, you don't want to get botulism. Send me the garlic! I'll eat a couple of cloves before I visit my professors at office hours haha.
